Zittau for European Capital of Culture in 2025

HAVLAT Präzisionstechnik GmbH supports the application of Zittau to become the European Capital of Culture in 2025

On 26th May 2019, a referendum is taking place in Zittau and its districts, in which eligible citizens can decide on whether Zittau – together with as many partners as possible from the Three-Country Region of Upper Lusatia – should make an application to become the European Capital of Culture in 2025. In our Works Meeting, we decided by majority vote to support this project. Not only our services, but also the culture that our region has to offer should become publicly known beyond its borders. We are promoting this idea on our homepage!

Germany’s best training companies 2019

Havlat again receives an award as one of the best training companies in Germany.

This year too, the best training companies in the whole of Germany were sought on behalf of Focus and Focus Money magazines. For this purpose, the 20,000 companies with the highest number of employees from 130 fields of industry were surveyed. A total of 1000 companies received the “Germany’s best training companies 2018” award. The emphasis was on five aspects; training success; structural data of the training; training allowance, while the trainee quota and additional offers for trainees were evaluated using questionnaires and then entered into the scientific study. HAVLAT scored heavily in numerous aspects, and achieved the convincing overall result of 79.0 out of a total of 100 points.

This shows that as a training company, we are on the right track and that our commitment and dedication to our apprentices is well worthwhile. The fact is that systematic vocational training and development enjoys a long tradition at HAVLAT and, indeed, is one of the core components of our company. Many of our former trainees are today employed as specialist and executive staff, while also passing on their knowledge and ability to young trainees. In order to do justice to the importance of vocational training in the future as well, further investments and optimisations in vocational training and development are planned.
